The Waverley was originally built in 1946 by A. & J. Inglis of Glasgow. It was designed to replace the previous Waverley, which had been destroyed during the Second World War. The new Waverley was built to be bigger and better than its predecessor, and it quickly became a popular choice for tourists and locals alike.

The Waverely Has a Unique Look and Feel

One of the things that makes the Waverley so special is its paddle wheels. These huge wheels are located mid-ship and are responsible for propelling the vessel forward. The paddle wheels give the Waverley a unique look and feel, and they are one of the reasons why so many people love to ride on this historic vessel.

Over the years, the Waverley has undergone several renovations and upgrades. In 1974, the boat was converted from coal to oil-fired boilers, which made it more efficient and environmentally friendly. In 2001, the Waverley was given a major overhaul, which included the replacement of its engines and the refurbishment of its interior.
